Lars Holstenkamp
Lars Holstenkamp's research focuses on financing renewable energies and hybrid forms of financing and organization. He conducts research on community energy, historical developments of energy cooperatives, & PPP/Public Citizen Partnerships.
Biography
Lars Holstenkamp has been working as research fellow at Leuphana University of Lüneburg’s Institute of Banking, Finance and Accounting since 2006. Since 2020, he also heads the Lüneburg office of ECOLOG Institute for Social-Ecological Research and Education. Since 2021 he has been member of the managing board of ECOLOG Institute. He has been conducting research in different third-party financed projects on sustainable urban development, renewable energies, and community ownership. Besides EMES membership, he is board member and treasurer of the German African Studies Association (VAD e.V.), the German Society for Transdisciplinary and Participative Research (GTPF e.V.) and the European Association of Development Training and Research Institutes (EADI). Lars holds a PhD from Leuphana University of Lüneburg and a diploma in economics (Diplom-Volkswirt). He studied economics and African languages at the University of Hamburg (2001-2003) and economics, specializing in development economics, at the University of Trier (2003-2006).
