Emes International Research Network (“we”, “us”) will process personal data for the purposes of administering registration and participation in the summer campus, organising related activities and communications, and managing the associated administrative, logistical and safety arrangements.
Where explicit consent is provided, personal data may also be processed for the capture and publication of images (photographs and/or video), the provision of information about future activities, events or projects, and, where applicable, inclusion in an internal network directory to facilitate contact and collaboration between members.
The lawful basis for processing is the performance of a contract (or steps prior to entering into a contract) and, in respect of additional purposes, the data subject’s consent (or that of their legal guardian where applicable).
Personal data may be shared with service providers acting as data processors and, where necessary, with collaborating organisations involved in the delivery of activities. The use of certain IT tools may involve international transfers of personal data, in which case appropriate safeguards will be implemented in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.
Personal data will be retained for as long as necessary to fulfil the above purposes and thereafter for any period required by law or, where processing is based on consent, until such consent is withdrawn.
Data subjects have the right to request access to, rectification or erasure of their personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to request data portability, in accordance with applicable law.
